O2 Planting For The Future hopes to raise awareness of our environment by using plants to help us all to make more eco-friendly choices
When you purchase plants with the O2 tag you’re getting some of the green industry’s “greenest” plant material. Greenleaf has a long history of being a good environmental steward. The nursery has had in place an award winning (both State and Federal) water re-cycling program and comprehensive eco-friendly fertilization and insect control management agenda. As early as 1993, they began to operate and maintain recycling systems in their Texas and Oklahoma nurseries to control runoff and ground water quality.
In addition, a portion of every purchase will go toward programs Greenleaf is launching to:
- share the positive roles that plants play in our environment, such as: reducing carbon and producing oxygen, cooling the earth, providing food and wildlife habitats, and building connective bonds between man and nature that ultimately prolong the lives of individuals and protects the environment.
- promote stress-reducing leisure time activities for young families and their children.
- awaken an awareness of our environment in this fast-paced world.
- educate people on how they can make a difference.
