With a need for additional entertaining space, this raised patio was designed to complement the surrounding golf course views and bring in foliage interest for all seasons.
The original patio was weathered and did not offer the space the homeowner needed for hosting larger groups. The new design not only increased square footage, but also refreshed the color palette and plantings. Materials were chosen to enhance the home’s brick exterior, balancing warm tones while keeping the space light and inviting. Walls were built using Belair Wall in Harvest Blend finished with Silver Creek wall caps in Buff for contrast. A three-piece pattern of Urbana paver in Ashbury Haze with a decorative soldier course of Copthorne in Burnt Clay, Burgundy Red and Old Oak completed the patio.
Plant material was carefully selected with consideration of the mature size so as not to inhibit the view of the beautiful green backdrop provided by the surrounding golf course. Additionally, chosen varieties provide foliage color and evergreen interest for each season as well as require very low maintenance.
