Welcome to our blog! You may have stumbled upon us by accident, or you may be one of our longtime clients. Either way, we are glad you’re here! We’re excited to begin this journey into the blogosphere, and we hope you’ll come along for the ride.

While blogging is new for Wright Outdoor Solutions, sharing information to help our clients is not. We’ve had an e-newsletter since 2009 where we’ve shared nearly everything a homeowner needs to know about their landscape. Now, we’ve decided that a blog on our website will be a great accompaniment to our e-newsletter, and a great place to house all our information.

We’ll be posting here at least twice a week. But don’t worry; if you currently receive our e-newsletter, we’ll still send it straight to your inbox every two weeks – only now, it will be a compilation of the previous two weeks’ blog posts.

Before we begin regular posts, we’d like to tell you a little bit about who we are and what you should expect from our blog…

WHO IS WRIGHT OUTDOOR SOLUTIONS?

We’re a family founded, employee-owned company that’s been serving Central Iowa since 1928. We were formed from the merger of Wright Tree Care and Heard Gardens in 2007, and in 2013, we grew again when we purchased The Growing Concern and began operating it as a division. We provide clients with a complete package of outdoor and indoor services, including landscape design and installation, complete tree care, lawn care, seasonal maintenance, a garden center, interior and exterior holiday lights and décor, interior plantscaping, land clearing and mulch.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

Whether you’re a client who wants to be in “the know,” a do-it-yourselfer trying to learn the tricks of the trade, or just a lover of the outdoors, there will be something here on our blog just for you. You’ll find posts written by several of our employees, including International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborists, project managers, Garden Center staff, and more.

Because our employees have first-hand knowledge and experience, they’ll be the voice of the blog. But we think your voice should be heard too! Do you have questions for us, or ideas for topics you’d like us to feature? Post your thoughts in the comments section below or on any future post, and we’ll make plans to cover it! And, you can always email us with ideas or questions – say, if that black thumb of yours isn’t something you want to share with the world!
