A backyard landscape refresh included removing the existing concrete patio, removal and re-installation of the pergola with secure footings, steps for a safer entrance and exit to the patio space for adults and small children, and the installation of newly established planting beds and a patio. The patio is also equipped with a built-in grill center and fire pit. Low maintenance plants and functional flow was key in creating the perfect environment for family gatherings and entertaining – the pergola with its side shade cloth, large grill center, and narrow and upright landscape plantings all help create an intimate environment.

For the patio, Tahoe Interlock pavers in Cascade were used for the main area with an accent border of Interlock Colonial Pavers in Onyx. The grill center included Interlock Contemporary Wall in Cascade with an Onyx accent row. Ledgestone Charcoal was used for the new stone steps.

White pillar hibiscus in the sunny wet planting bed, along with dogwoods and ornamental grasses were used to create texture, dimension and a cozy, friendly environment.
