Designed to offer four seasons of color and interest in the landscape, this contemporary, yet rustic design incorporated planting beds around the foundation of the home as well as landscape lighting for safety, security and aesthetic. The landscape beds not only increased curb appeal, but also reduced mowing and trimming time. Custom lighting was placed in prime locations throughout to highlight the front entry path, perimeter, and seasonal color containers and hanging planters at the front entrance.

The homeowner wanted to bring texture and color to the landscape with a blend of soft, uniform looking mulch and varying shades of river rock. We integrated both elements into the design, creating a river like pattern, delineating the two textures with the use of cobbles which allows the colorfully diverse river rock to pop against the mulch and plant material even more. A wide range of perennials, deciduous shrubs and evergreen shrubs were planted for a splash of color throughout the four seasons. A touch of blue foliage was brought in with the Blue Arrow Junipers, which also add a great vertical accent and the Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry will bring a varying display of beautiful seasonal hues. As a finishing touch, Rosetta Bordo edging was used throughout for a highly durable natural stone look.
