A cozy cottage-like home surrounded by mature trees and planting beds gave way for the creation of the perfect backyard gathering area. The refresh combined several elements for entertaining family and friends, including a new patio, a table area for shaded reading and dining, a path from the back door to the screened porch for easier access, and a firepit area for cozying up in the evenings. Due to the slope of the yard, two areas of level seating were created in a way that allowed for ramp-style access to both without the need for any steps throughout the patio.

Several planting beds existed previously, and careful consideration was given so that new planting beds mixed aesthetically with the older ones, along with the aesthetic of the home itself. Pavers for the patio are Belgard Mega Arbel in Ashbury Haze, which were selected to match the existing foundation brick along the house. The accent pavers are Dublin Cobble in Fossil Beige.
