A residential home surrounded by mature trees and lush grass, located in a cozy established neighborhood is the perfect recipe for a low maintenance, family-friendly backyard to live, relax and play in. Initial steps to clear weeds, old plants and hardscaping materials, as well as leveling the yard, all made way for impactful improvements to come – both functional and aesthetic.

Leading the homeowners and guests from the front to the backyard is a limestone flagstone pathway made of Iowa Buff Flagstone. A spacious patio area was established for gathering, eating and entertaining, positioned next to a unique recreational bocce ball court, all surrounded by a seat wall and retaining wall made of Unilock Brussels stone.

Dark brown mulch laid the foundation for trees and perennial plantings, which were strategically selected to be low maintenance and suit the variety of growing conditions on the property. Korean Spice viburnum, Little Henry Sweetspire, astilbe chinensis, and a variety of azaleas and rhododendrons were planted across the property to protect against deer and accommodate areas of shade and full sun.
