Highly trained experts are the root of our business. So when one of our International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists earns an additional qualification, we like to brag about it! Having employees with qualifications on their resumes is just another reason for our clients to trust Wright Outdoor Solutions with all their tree care needs.

Earlier this month, Master Arborist John Griffiths added the Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) certification to his toolbox. John is the first person in central Iowa who works for a tree care company who is TRAQ.

According to ISA, TRAQ is an ISA qualification program aimed to provide arboriculture professionals to expand their knowledge through education and training on the fundamentals of assessing tree risk. The results of a tree risk assessment can provide tree owners and risk managers with the information to make informed decision to enhance tree benefits, health and longevity.

The course includes courses in tree biology and mechanics, tree inspection and assessment, data analysis and risk categorization, and risk reporting. The two day educational course is followed by a half day assessment which includes both a written and field component.

In addition to the TRAQ certification, John is decorated with several qualifications. He has been an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist since 2008, certified by the American Society of Consulting Arborists since 2009 and an ISA Certified Arborist since 2001. Learn more about John.
