Rock The Pumpkins This Fall

Do you enjoy dressing up your front entrance with fall’s favorite gourd, the pumpkin? For a reusable option that you can enjoy year after year, try turning large rocks into decorative pumpkins! In a few simple steps, you can transform a rock into fall’s favorite decoration.

Here’s what you will need to make your own:

• Any size rock
• Orange spray paint
• Black acrylic paint
• Paintbrush
• Chalk
• Acrylic sealer spray

And, here’s how to turn those supplies into something spectacular:

1. Select round and smooth rocks that sit well and allow for a nice, paintable surface.
2. Spray paint the rocks orange and let dry for an hour or so.
3. Sketch a face with chalk.
4. Following the chalk sketch, paint your face on the pumpkin using the black acrylic paint and allow it to dry.
5. Once the face is dry, seal the rock with the acrylic sealer spray to help protect against the elements.
6. Place outside and enjoy!
