Pantone Color Of The Year

Each year, Pantone chooses a Color of the Year, capturing the current cultural mood and attitude. (Click here to read our post about Marsala, the 2015 Color of the Year.) This year for the first time, Pantone chose two colors: Rose Quartz and Serenity. These colors were selected to represent the need for balance, connection, healing, peace and wellness.

Serenity

Serenity represents the relaxation of blue skies. Incorporate this color into your yard with soft blue flowers such as blue hydrangea, blue nigella, and blue delphinium.

Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is a color with calm and gentle qualities. Bring this color into your garden with soft pink flowers, including the light pink peony, light pink garden rose, and light pink clematis.

Beyond Botanical

You can also bring the Pantone Colors of the Year into your outdoor space in other ways. Consider light pink or pale blue cushions or pillows for your patio set, or incorporate seasonal container arrangements with the hues. Learn more about Rose Quartz and Serenity color pairings here.
