Account Manager Betsy Coy has been in the green industry since 2017. Previously an interior technician, Betsy’s favorite part about working at the company is the people –  lots of friendly faces and hard workers.

Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in horticulture with a focus on greenhouse production and management. From there, she started working with the Verdure Elements division and immediately knew that interior plantscaping was where she wanted her career to grow.

Her education and greenhouse experience have helped her build the skills required to keep plants thriving while in indoor environments. Betsy’s expansive knowledge of tropical species gives her the ability to design interior plantscapes for a variety of spaces. Designing new interior plantscapes is her absolute favorite – each office space is different, creating a new experience every time. One of her favorite projects was an installation for her first approved design, which included plant walls and lots of lush tropical plants. She had a blast watching her proposal come to life.

Her favorite flowers are jasmine and Lenten rose. For interior spaces, she loves Dracaena Marley and Aglaonema ‘Spring Snow’.

When Betsy isn’t connecting with clients or designing interior plantscapes, you’ll find her taking walks with her dog, exploring local businesses with friends and family, or watching a movie at home.
