Meet Jordyn LaFollette, a Des Moines-based account manager who joined the team in October 2023. With a background in interior plant care and a degree in landscape architecture, Jordyn brings both hands-on experience and a sharp design eye to every project she manages.

Jordyn’s path into the green industry began at Iowa State University, where she completed several internships focused on community management, conservation projects and real-time landscape design. She quickly developed an appreciation for how thoughtful design can transform outdoor spaces and fell in love with the rich plant palette of the Midwest along the way.

After graduation, Jordyn gained experience working on larger-scale projects with a design firm before shifting to a more residential focus as a garden designer and crew lead. Wanting to expand her plant knowledge even further, she later joined the company as an interior plant care technician, where she developed a strong foundation in interior tropical plants before stepping into her current role as account manager.

What excites Jordyn most about her work is the human connection behind every project. She values the trust clients place in the design and care process and enjoys helping cultivate meaningful relationships between homeowners, crews and the natural environment. Known for her patience, adaptability and attention to detail, Jordyn thrives on creative problem-solving and visual communication.

One of her favorite projects to date was providing weekly interior plant maintenance to help care for a two-story living plant wall with over 2,000 plants. Outside of work, Jordyn enjoys spending time with friends and family, sewing, painting, getting out in the community, and learning something new. Her favorite flower is the dahlia. She finds it mind-blowing that something natural can be so beautiful yet look so complex — it’s just breathtaking!
